Soviet Aviation is the mythical book designed in 1939 for the Soviet pavilion at the World Fair held in New York, while the Second World War was starting, and had not been published again until now. A poetic history book still able to show the plane as it has never been done again, as a marvelous progress machine.
The famous constructivist artists Alexander Ródchenko and Varvara Stepánova, in an incomparable creative and personal alliance, were devoted to painting and graphic arts, theater and cinematography, architecture and publicity. They always worked together, specially during the 1930s, their period of greatest dedication to editorial design, which was crowned by this book.
