In the late nineties, the urban renewal project of Viela do Anjo, in the historic area of the city of Oporto, represented an excellent opportunity for these young architects to put up a body of knowledge related to intervention in specific contexts. In this case, the project required the alteration of the existing, but always in a perspective of careful integration of contemporary architecture in an environment of well-established historical and heritage values.
Since then, we have witnessed the development of a long journey with many international competitions, private and public works, usually with a strong expression of design and composition, to create an image that stands out in the urban fabric (building Vodafone) and other quieter landscapes (pools of the population).
