As the starting point for the chronological approach in this monograph, two houses were selected (Villa Alcina and Holiday Heme) built in Caminha between 1971 and 1975. Both have the particularity of being individual projects by each autor and of having become affirmed as paradigms in the history of contemporary single-family dwellings in Portugal. Starting with these we will witness the unfolding of the long trajectory they have travelled together, wich highlights the special way they treat issues linked to the rehabilitation of heritage.
